Yesterday, I sent Faire’s Fair out to a group of 12 beta readers. Some are friends, some are folks in the business, and I’m grateful for each of them.

I have spent the last two months editing, re-editing, and doing my best to turn a critical eye on my own work. Which is HARD! When you’ve written, read, and rewritten and reread you stop seeing things. Thank goodness for some amazing editing software that can analyze your writing and catch things that word doesn’t. Of course it doesn’t catch when you write BUY instead of BUT or similar issues.

Some other good advice I read was to review your work in a different format- change the font size, style etc. I even printed the entire book out and read through and marked it- just like editors in the old days with a red pen in hand.

So now for the first time, my book is in the hands of folks who will 1- enjoy it and 2- give me good critiques as the thing I want MOST is to make my book ready for future readers to love!

I hope to use future blogs to talk about my writing process, upcoming books (I have multiple books in various stages of development) and life in general!

I look forward to spending time with you- feel free to drop me a line or a comment!

Cheers-

Grace
